B&R Ex Systems
A Brief History
B&R Ex Systems is a relatively new company formed in 2009 when there was a synergy between highly experienced people becoming available and B&R Enclosures desire to better serve this industry.
B&R Enclosures
B&R Enclosures is Australia's largest manufacture of electrical enclosures. It was founded in 1955 by Dick Bridges, father of the current Managing Director, Ken Bridges.
B&R has two manufacturing locations in Brisbane and Adelaide and has invested heavily on state of the art equipment. This has allowed us to obtain ISO9001:2000 certification for quality and AS/NZ 4801:2001 certification for OH&S.
For a considerable number of years B&R has manufactured a range of Ex'e' and DIP enclosures, but recognised that this was a market that was both highly specialised, and needed a greater range of products to meet demand.
David MacAlpine - General Manager
David has been involved in the Electrical Industry specialising in Hazardous Areas for the past 36 years, and has worked for leading companies such as Joy Manufacturing, Cooper Crouse Hinds and Clipsal Stahl Ex (now called as CSE.Ex).
He was the Chairman of AEEMA HAE Division for 8 years and is still active on several prominent committees including P8 and EL14.
With his experience he brings vast knowledge and understanding of the industry.
